NICE uses a variety of channels to share relevant updates amongst out staff, from a popular weekly newsletter to a social intranet with active blogs and polls.
Our internal communications team ensure that everyone working at NICE is engaged and informed.
This year we revamped our quarterly staff magazine, NICEtimes. We wanted to be able to tell our stories in different ways, including video. Our old magazine was in pdf format which didn’t allow us to include multimedia content.
The newly updated NICEtimes has been recognised at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Inside Story Awards. Coming first in the ‘best use of digital platform - digital magazine or ezine’ category.

In January 2017, we held a successful Healthy Work Week campaign to encourage staff to think about their own wellbeing. This campaign was created following our own guidance on workplace health.
More than 200 members of staff attended events discussing all aspects of staying healthy, from physical activity levels and diet, to dealing with stress and mental wellbeing.
A ‘healthy selfie’ photo competition encouraged staff to submit images showing what they do to relax and unwind. People shared pictures of countryside walks, dinner with friends and reading before bed.
We have embraced animation software, GoAnimate, as a new way to share information with NICE staff. You can watch a video on staff benefits while working at NICE.
